ITINERARY

Day 01 : Arrive Kathmandu  

Met upon arrival from your international flight and transfer to your Hotel. Overnight at Hotel.

Kathmandu City: Kathmandu, the capital city of Nepal, is one of the world’s oldest cities. The old pard of the city, with narrow medieval streets and lovely little shrines, centers around the Durbar Square. It is also known as Kantipur. Here you will visit the temple of the Living Goddess, who acknowledges the greetings of the devotees from the balcony of her temple residence. Kasthamandap-the source of the name Kathmandu and supposed to be made from the timber of a single tree and the Durbar Square are with it’s array of temple overlooked by the Hanuman Dhoka Palace, the ancient place of the Nepalese Royalty.

Day 02 : In Kathmandu

After breakfast proceed for full day city tour.    

Swayambhunath: Located approximately 4 km, Buddhist stupa this is said to be more than 2000 years old. The stupa which forms the main structure is composed of a solid hemisphere of brick and earth supporting a lofty conical spire capped by a pinnacle of copper gilt. Painted on the four sided base of the spire are the all seeing eyes of Lord Buddha. This hill is a mosaic of small Chaityas and Pagoda temples.

Patan: 5 km away from Kathmandu city. Patan is also known as Lalitpur, is the city of fine arts, enclosed within 4 stupas said to be built in 3rd century AD, by Emperor Ashoka. It is indeed a city of beauty and grace and is planned on a circular format with Buddhist stupas at each of the four points of the compass. You will see the Durbar Square, the Patan Durbar which houses a bronze collection, the Krishna Temple built by King Siddhi Narsingh Malla and Hiranya Varna Mahavihar.

Day 03 : In Kathmandu

After breakfast proceed for half day city tour.

Pashupatinath: Situated 4 km east of Kathmandu city, Pashupatinath temple is one of the holiest Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Shiva. The temple of Pashupatinath is large double-roofed pagoda of brass and gilt gold; the gateway is plated with silver. Situated, amidst a lush green natural setting on the bank of the sacred Bagmati River. Visitors will be permitted to view the temple from the east bank of River Bagmati, entrance in the temple being strictly forbidden to all non Hindus. Pashupatinath is the centre of annual pilgrimage on the day of Shivaratri which falls in the month of February/March. Behind the temple are the cremation grounds.

Boudhnath
This stupa, eight kilometers east of Kahtmandu city is one of the biggest in the world of its kind. It stand with four pairs of eyes in the four cardinal direction keeping watch for righteious behaviour and human prosperity. This Buddhist stupa was built by King Man Deva at the advice of Goddess Mani Jogini. It is built on an octagonal base inset with prayer wheels. The shrine is ringed by houses of Lamas or Buddhist priests. It is common to see dozens of worshippers constantly circumambulating the stupa while taking care to spin each of the sacred prayer wheels. Around the stupa and in the surrounding fields are many Tibetan Buddhist monasteries.
Lunch/Dinner and overnight at Hotel.

Day 04 : Leave Kathmandu

After breakfast sightseeing  of Bhadgaon (room till 12 noon)

Bhadgaon: Also known as Bhaktapur meaning the city of devotees, this place is the home of medieval art and architecture. Lying 14 km east of Kathmandu city, this place was founded in the 9th century and is shaped like a conch shell. The city is at the height of 4600 ft above sea level. Pottery and weaving are its major traditional industries. In Bhadgaon you will visit the Durbar Square with it’s array of temples overlooked by the Palace of 55 windows built by King Bhupatindra Malla. The Nyatapola Temple also built by King Bhupatindra Malla, is the best example of Pagoda style and stands of five terraces on each of which stands a pair of figures two famous strong men, two elephants, two lions, two griffins and two goddesses.

Lunch & Dinner at hotel. In time transfer from hotel to airport to connect flight for onward destination.
